Obituary of Kevin John Walma
Kevin John Walma born February 24, 1993, in Grimsby, passed away August 26, 2026, finally finding peace after fighting a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Though his battle was difficult and unbearably unfair, it never diminished the light, laughter and love he radiated in life.
He is survived by his loving son Chase along with Petra, his devoted coparenting partner and best friend. His dear brother Andrew (Alicia) his nieces Charlotte and Lily. Loving parents John and Debbie (Enzo). Grandma Sharon Jones and the late Edward David Jones. Predeceased by his Opa and Oma, Jake and Elly Walma. Kevin will be remembered and dearly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews on both the Jones and Walma side as well as his “Sweet” baby Maple.
A special mention must be made to his beloved Aunt Sherry and his dear friends (wives) Carly and Brittney whose love and devotion surrounded him throughout his whole journey, comforting him, caring for him and making sure he always felt safe and supported and deeply loved until his final moments.
Kevin will be remembered for his immense love for his son Chase, his family and his friends. He loved more than anything camping with his family, travelling, watching movies, listening to music, going to concerts, playing video games with Chase and the boys, hanging out with his crew and weekly dinners at Aunt Sherry’s just to name a few things.
Kevin was pure love and light and could brighten anyone’s day and any room he walked into. He is one of a kind and the mark he has left on all our hearts will be cherished forever.
To know Kevin was a gift, and to be loved by him was truly something special.
Visitation will take place at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A private family service will take place at a later date. Donations in Kevin’s memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Research, the SPCA or donations made by cheque payable directly to his son Chase Walma are sincerely appreciated by the family.
