Patrick James Morabito
March 17, 1957- August 29, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Pat Morabito, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, following complications from diabetes, COPD, and heart failure.
Pat will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Jackie Olenik (Mike), Sandy Jr. (Denise), Jeff, and Susan Kennedy. He will also be dearly missed by his many cousins, nieces, and nephews, whom he loved tremendously. Pat was especially close to several of his nieces and nephews, with whom he shared countless memorable evenings watching football, baseball, and hockey. He was predeceased by his parents, Sandy Robert Sr. (2012) and Kathleen Holoday Morabito (2018); his brother, Tim (2010); and his sister, Kathleen Lambert (2025).
Pat had been a resident of Rapelje Lodge LTC since July 2025, where he made many friends among both the residents and staff. He loved interacting with others, sharing stories, and, most of all, joking around and bringing laughter to those around him. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Rapelje Lodge for the kindness, care, and compassion they showed Pat during his time there.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main Street, Welland. Cremation has taken place, and an inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
