In Loving Memory of Carole Thomson (née Zezella)
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carole Thomson (née Zezella), who passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at McNally House Hospice.
Carole was a loving mother to Jamie Thomson and a dear sister to Dave Zezella (Denise). She was a cherished aunt to Michael (Paige) and Curtis (Kellie) and will be lovingly remembered by her special friends Catherine and Anna.
Carole’s beloved dog, Bluebelle, held a very special place in her heart and was a constant source of love and companionship.
Carole loved life and especially enjoyed travelling, cruising, and her many trips to Las Vegas. She loved making memories and sharing good times with the people she cared about. She will be remembered for her wonderful spirit, her laughter, and the special memories she created with those she loved. Carole was also blessed with many wonderful neighbours who were always there to help and support her. Their kindness and friendship meant so much to her and her family.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Thermabala and Dr. Conen, her PSW Yvette, and all the nurses, staff, and volunteers at McNally House Hospice for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness shown to Carole and her family.
Carole was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Gertrude Zezella, and her brother Danny.
Carole will be deeply missed by her family, friends, neighbours, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. While our hearts are broken by her loss, we will forever cherish the love, laughter, and memories she leaves behind.
The family invites relatives and friends to join them in remembering and celebrating Carole’s life at the Welland Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 827 East Main Street, Welland, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carole’s memory may be made to McNally House Hospice.
Rest peacefully, Carole. You will be forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.
