I'm very sorry to hear of your Father's passing. I live around the corner from him and would often cross paths while I was out for a walk with my children and he was riding around on his bike. He was a very kind man and loved to stop and chat. We will miss seeing him around. Please accept my condolences at this difficult time.

Dear Grace & Family,
We are so sad to hear of Basil’s passing. He was a wonderful cousin to my parents, Tony & Ida Scalzo and all the Scalzo family. I so loved visiting him when I was younger-both in Welland and Lockport. So many fond memories. Our prayers, love and sympathy go out to you, your family and Gabe, Victor and John and families.
Love & Prayers,
Marea & Larry Eggert

Dear Grace and the entire Falvo Family, We are are totally shocked and in disbelief upon word from Comari Lidia that Compari Basil had passed away. There are no words for such a tremendous great loss. He was such a great man. The kids and I would enter the Rice Road Tim Hortons and there he would be. Enjoying a coffee from his bike ride, he would acknowledge me and ask , reaching for his pocket, that he wanted to buy coffee. Declining and thanking him greatly for the kind gesture. He would always ask how my dad was doing and would strongly recommend that I say hi to him. Reminding me as I exited the door, not to forget. We offer you our deepest condolences and keep you all in our prayers. Seek comfort through Family, Friends and the wonderful memories that have been made over the years. Keeping you in our prayers, the Csukerda Family (Pete and Sara) and the family of Domenico Marasco.

I am heartbroken over the passing of my beloved uncle Basil.
He came to live with my parents when he first came to Canada and I was only a couple of years old. He took great joy in playing with me, taking me out for car rides and showering me with treats and goodies. He was the loving uncle every kid wished he had. It was a simple but wonderful childhood growing up with loving uncles and aunts who were always getting together on any occasion possible and uncle Basil was always the life of the party then, full of energy and laughter.
Later, if ever I asked of a favour he was always there, ready to help. He helped out all of his family members, you just had to ask.
My uncle left me with so many wonderful childhood memories and later valuable lessons in life that I will never forget
You will stay in my heart forever.

Basil was one of my favourite people ever. From day one he welcomed me and the boys with so much love and kindness. He always asked “How are the boys “ every time we saw or spoke to him. No matter the project big or small we had going on at our house, he always wanted to help. He even rode his bike across town to our place to supervise! I only had the pleasure of having Basil in my life for the last six years, but I’m lucky to of had that. He will be very missed and definitely talked about often
