Obituary of Colette Gleason

Colette Marie Gleason, 81, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, January 6, 2024. She was born in Quebec to Alfreda and Polydor L’italien on April 11, 1942. Beloved Wife of the late, Matthias Gleason. Cherished mother of Mark (Jennifer) and Corey (France). Dear sister to Paul, John, Claudette, Marcel, Jack. She will be sadly missed by her 2 grandchildren; Bryanna & Dylan and almost anyone else she came into contact with. Predeceased by her siblings, Serge, Richard and Gilles.

Her life was filled with many adventures of time on the road with her husband, raising her children and then raising her grandchildren. She was the leader of a family, a sister, a wife, and mother to all.

Relatives and friends are invited to join in honoring Colette's memory at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION and RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main Street, on Friday, January 12, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Service, officiated by Father Paul Vellakunnath, will be held in the funeral home chapel, Saturday, January 13, at 11 am Interment will take place a  later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, and or the Heart & Stroke Foundation embodying Colette's compassionate and caring spirit. The family welcomes all to come and celebrate her life and the joy she carried and spread through her infectious smile.
