Obituary of Donelda Montean

In loving memory of Donelda (St. Clair) Montean, who graced this world with her presence on October 6, 1932, and peacefully departed to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 13, 2024. The dearly beloved wife of the late William Montean, Donelda was a devoted mother to Brian (Carol), Larry (Janice), Deborah Harding (Dan), John (Brenda), and Linda Clarke. Her love extended far and wide as a grandmother to many and a great-grandmother, enriching the lives of generations. Donelda, a loving sister to Elizabeth Yade (Lorne) and Sharon Dube (Romuald), was characterized by her exceptional kindness and unwavering devotion to her faith.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 6 to 8 pm & Friday, January 19, 2024 from 10:30 – 12:00 pm at the Welland Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre 827 East Main Street Welland.  A funeral service at 12:30 pm will take place at Welland Gospel Hall, followed by interment at Doans Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates contributions to a charity of your choice, reflecting Donelda's compassionate spirit. Donelda Montean's legacy will forever illuminate the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared in her boundless love and faith.
