Obituary of Noella Rodrigue
February 6, 1928- January 20, 2024
It is with great sadness that Noella Rodrigue (née Lapointe) passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the age of 95. She now joins her husband Bernard (2016) in heaven. Beloved mother of Marianne (the late Gaston), Daniel (Celine), Richard (Janet), Susanne (partner Steve). Cherished grandmother of Alain, Patrick, Denis, Raymond, Chantal, Eric, Tianna, Benjamin, Isabel and Quinn. Great-grandmother to Lila, Penni, Griffin, Dianna, Katelynn, Yannick, Elowyn and Faye. She is predeceased by her parents Ovide and Maria Lapointe as well as her siblings Lionel, Edith, Annette and Eddy.
Noella was a strong, independent, and hard-working woman. She was adored by everyone for her kindness and generosity. Her first love was her family and the second was her gift of music. Since the age of 15, she participated in various choirs and when the children were all gone, she devoted her time to the church choir. She was often asked to sing at weddings and funerals.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Foyer Richelieu for the care and compassion they provided during her stay there.
Family and friends are invited to join the family at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE 827 East Main St., Welland on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 2-4p.m. & 6-8p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 11a.m. at Église Sacré-Coeur 72 Empire Street, Welland. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Église Sacré-Coeur, Fonds Foyer Richelieu, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
