Obituary of Mathilda Giroux

It is with great sadness that the family of Mathilda Giroux announce her passing at the Welland Hospital on February 1, 2024, in her 86 year. Beloved wife of the late George Giroux. Cherished mother of Danielle Huneault, Fran Tisi(Fern) Pascal Giroux (Cheryl) and Joel Giroux (Tina). Mathilda will be remembered by her grandchildren Jennifer, Rocky, Stephanie, Felicia, Blake, Jarrett, Emily, and great granddaughter Ella. Predeceased by her son Roch Giroux (Cheryl). She was a caring and devoted employee at Extended Care Welland hospital for many years. She will be sadly missed by all family and friends.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 827 East Main Street Welland. A private funeral service will follow at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
