With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bill Boyle on February 19, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on October 17, 1945, Bill was a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and dear brother.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Diane Boyle, who was his rock and constant companion throughout their journey together. Bill was the epitome of a loving father, deeply devoted to his children: Lori Falvo (John), Bill Jr. (Karen), Jeff, Larry Ilton (Jeanette), Lenny Ilton , and a special niece Tina . His guidance, support, and unconditional love were the cornerstones of their lives.
Bill shared a special bond with his brother, Alvin (Jeannine), and valued the camaraderie they shared. He was a cherished brother in law to many with whom he shared many fond memories and laugh.
As a grandfather, Bill’s love knew no bounds. He adored his grandchildren, Teanna Cousineau (Brent), Christopher Falvo, and Aaron Moore, showering them with affection and wisdom.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Elgin and Dorothy, as well his sister Carole and faced the heartache of losing his grandchildren, Brian Brown, Charlene Brown. Though they are gone, their memories remain etched in his heart.
Professionally, Bill was a dedicated welder at Atlas Specialty Steel, where his strong work ethic and skill earned him the respect of his colleagues.
Beyond his work, Bill found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for cards, especially euchre, and restoring classic cars and trucks. An avid outdoorsman, Bill cherished his time spent hunting and fishing, finding solace and tranquility in nature's embrace.
The WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE has been entrusted with honoring Bill’s final wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Ronald McDonald House or Beyond The Streets Inc. causes close to Bill's heart.
Bill’s presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, and joy will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace, forever surrounded by the love of his family.
A celebration of life will be at later date.
