Obituary of John Dostie

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Dostie on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the age of 93. John was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and sibling, whose memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him.

John leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by his 4 devoted children, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 9 siblings and 1 grandchild, their memories forever etched in the hearts of his family.

A man of integrity and kindness, John touched the lives of many with his warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit. His unwavering love and guidance will be greatly missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In honoring John's final wishes, The WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE has been entrusted with overseeing his arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather and honor the remarkable life of John Dostie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice, in memory of John, to continue his legacy of kindness and compassion.
