Obituary TISI - Gabriel 1935 - 2019 C'est avec tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Gabriel Tisi dans sa 84ième année le mardi 22 janvier 2019, à Rapelje Lodge, Welland, Ontario. Époux bien-aimé de Gisèle (née Bilodeau) pour 60 ans. Père bien-aimé de Carole Garrett (feu Wayne 'Woody'), Louise Bozza (Nick), Hélène Tisi et Lynn Tisi. Gabriel sera à jamais dans les cœurs de ses petits-enfants, Jillian, Evan (Shauny) Garrett, Samuel, Emma, Anna Nero et ses arrière-petits-enfants, Wayne Gabriel et Emerie-Rose Garrett. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil ses belles-soeurs et ses beaux frères Margaret Tisi (feu Réal), Gilles Bilodeau (Barbara ), Jean-Paul Bilodeau et plusieurs neveux et nièces. Prédécédé par ses parents, Michel et Zélia (née Lamontagne) et ses frères et soeurs: Soeur Sylvia, Générome (Madeleine), Alice Blanchette (Gédéon), Virginie (Général), Ludger (Blanche), Albert (Irène), Armand (Thérèse), Irénée (Gilberte), Fernand (Jeannine), Joseph, Antoinette Boisvert (Marc), Lucienne Demers (Laurent) et beau-frère et belle-soeur: Richard Bilodeau (Beverly) Gabriel avait une solide éthique professionnelle puisqu'il avait travaillé 33 ans chez Atlas Steels en tant que technicien en échographie et avait été nommé juge de paix pour la province de l'Ontario, où il avait pris sa retraite à l'âge de 70. À son côté, Gisèle et Gabriel ont réussi à surmonter de nombreux défis et réalisations, ce qui leurs on permis de vivre pleinement avec la famille au centre. Il était très sociable et attendait avec impatience ses sorties au café avec ses copains. Il jouait aux crib les lundi, aux cartes les après-midi au Club Social. Il était très heureux d'assister aux activités sportives et de loisirs de ses petits-enfants et était fier de leurs oeuvres. Nous aimerions exprimer nos sincères remerciements pour les excellents soins qu’il a reçus du personnel de Rapelje Lodge au cours des 5 dernières années. La famille recevra la parenté et les amis au SALON FUNÉRAIRE WELLAND, 827 rue Main est, Welland, le dimanche 27 janvier de 14h00 à 16h00 et de 18h00 à 20h00. La messe des funérailles aura lieu le lundi 28 janvier à 10h00 à l'église Sacré Cœur, 72, rue Empire, à Welland. L'inhumation suivra au cimetière Holy Cross. Beloved husband of 60 years of Gisèle (née Bilodeau) and cherished father of Carole Garrett (the late Wayne ''Woody''), Louise Bozza (Nick), Hélène Tisi and Lynn Tisi. Gabriel will be forever in the hearts of his grandchildren; Jillian, Evan (Shauny) Garrett, Samuel, Emma, Anna Nero and his great-grandchildren; Wayne Gabriel and Emerie-Rose Garrett. He will be greatly missed by his sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Margaret Tisi (late Réal), Gilles Bilodeau (Barbara), Jean-Paul Bilodeau and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Michel and Zélia (née Lamontagne) and his brothers and sisters; Sister Sylvia, Générome (Madeleine), Alice Blanchette (Gédéon), Virginie (Général), Ludger (Blanche), Albert (Irène), Armand (Thérèse), Irénée (Gilberte), Fernand (Jeannine), Joseph, Antoinette Boisvert (Marc), Lucienne Demers (Laurent) and brother and sister-in law Richard Bilodeau (Beverly). Gabriel had a strong work ethic as he worked at Atlas Steeles for 33 years as an ultrasound technician as well as being appointed as a Justice of the Peace for the Province of Ontario for 23 years, retiring at the age of 70. With his partner by his side, they were able to surmount many challenges and accomplishments resulting in a full life with family at the center. He was very social and looked forward to his "coffee shop" outings with his buddies, playing Monday Night Cribbage League, Euchre and afternoon cards at the Club Social. He took great pleasure in attending his grand childrens' sports and leisure activities and was proud of their accomplishments. We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation for the excellent care he received from the Rapelje Lodge staff for the last 5+ years. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main Street, Welland, on Sunday, January 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 28 at 10 a.m. at Église Sacré Coeur, 72 Empire Street, Welland. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In memory of Gabriel, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Rapelje Lodge.
