Obituary of Howard John Hammill

Howard John Hammill, the cherished, beloved husband of Andrea (née Andrews), died peacefully in his sleep at the Welland Hospital on April 15, 2024, at the age of 63, after a long and hard battle against cancer, stroke, and diabetes. Howard was predeceased by his parents Eugene and Mary Ann Hammill, and his little brother Murray. Howard is the eldest brother to Ross (Rose), Virginia, and Eugene (Amanda). He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. Howard was a passionate man who became a pilot and enjoyed sailing and riding his motorcycle. Howard played the bagpipes and had a beautiful singing voice. He loved old movies, history, and classical music. Howard worked for The Royal Bank of Canada as a Project Leader, Technical Specialist for over 35 years, and he considered his co-workers his "second family." His love for animals was evident in his compassionate nature and unwavering support, dedicating much of his time to assisting strays and ensuring they found loving, forever homes.
