It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Raffaela “Ruth” DiMarco on May 13, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side, at the age of 93. Ruth was born on September 1, 1930, in Serra S. Bruno, Italy. She moved to Canada in 1950, where she started her family with her beloved husband of 71 years, Giovanni “John” DiMarco.

Predeceased by her parents Angelo and Giuseppina Zaffino, her siblings Salvatore Zaffino, Vincenzina Zaffino, Rose Pisano (William) and her great-granddaughter Gabrielle.
Ruth was the matriarch of a large and loving family and will always be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to all of them. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories, enduring values and traditions, and Sunday dinners.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Sheri-Ann Bristol and all of the PSW’s through Home and Community Care for their compassionate care and support.
