Obituary of Lorraine Johnston
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorraine Johnston, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the age of 67, surrounded by her loving family.
Laurie leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, forever remembered by her daughters Tracy, Jackie, Roxanne (Jay), and her adored grandchildren Kevin, Madison, Erik, Kaylee, and Tessa. Laurie was the loving sister of Larry (Jackie) and Lynn, and she will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and coworkers at Crowne Plaza. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Landry, and her parents, Peter and Claudette Johnston.
Laurie had a special bond with her grandchildren, and she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them, especially playing TV bingo with Kevin. She also had a compassionate heart for animals and welcomed her beloved sisters (cats) into her home as rescues.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Welland and Niagara Falls Hospitals as well as Woolcott Wing for their exceptional care and support during Laurie's time of need.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE. A chapel service will be held for immediate family and friends to honor Laurie's life and celebrate her memory.
Though Laurie may have left this world, she will remain forever alive in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us all. Rest peacefully, dear Laurie, knowing that you were deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
