Obituary of Valerie Louise Tisi
TISI Valerie- It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Valerie Louise Tisi (nee Myke), on June 24, 2024. Val passed away after a long battle with cancer. Val is survived by her loving, caring and supportive husband Denis Tisi, her daughter Jennifer Tisi (John Reimer), her sister Joyce Walters (Bill), her brother Michael Myke Jr. and their families. Predeceased by her mother Irene Alice Drake, her father Michael Myke and her brother Kenny Myke.
Val was a very special woman. She was the type of person that could make friends and talk to strangers with comfort and ease, and with empathy for everyone. She was one of the strongest people we knew and she had such a loving spirit. Val had active roles in her church and she especially loved working with the young women.
She loved to help others and volunteered for Women’s Place, would tutor individuals in English and worked at Kumon. She had a love for reading, the colour purple and music. Anyone who knew her knew Donny Osmond was her favourite!
Val was an amazing, supportive and loving mother. She was in a loving marriage for over 46 years and together they were blessed to have shared many experiences together. Most will fondly remember Val by her smile, unselfishness, love for others and her will to live everyday as if it was her last. Our hearts are broken and saying we’ll miss her is an understatement. She is now free of any pain, discomfort and fear and resting peacefully with her Heavenly Father.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION and RECEPTION CENTRE. As per Val’s wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or the Welland Humane Society would be appreciated by the family as Val had a love for animals.
