Obituary of Carley Yorfido

Obituary It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mom and grandmother, Carley Yorfido. Carley was born September 16th, 1923 in Dundas, Ontario and passed away peacefully at River Road Retirement Residence on Monday, September 3rd, 2018-- just two weeks short of her 95th birthday. She was the loving and faithful wife of over 60 years to James Yorfido, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her two sons Jimmy (Pamela) and Tony; her grandchildren, Ashton, Anthony, Michael, and Matthew; sister-in-law Mary; and her many nieces and nephews. She was especially proud of her great granddaughter, Mia. We would like to thank her numerous friends for their support and kindness to her, particularly Jean and Kim, who were her angels. A special thanks to her close friends Claude, Lilly and Arlene for taking care of her and Margaret for taking her to her special appointments. The family would also like to express thanks for the wonderful help and care given by River Road Retirement Residence (Jan Smith). Carley was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed the simple things: cooking, gardening, and taking care of her family. She loved her many cats and dogs. Music was her first love. Carley loved to sing and dance, we always told her she should have been on Broadway. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main Street, Welland on Thursday, September 6th, 2018 from 11a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to The Welland and District Humane Society will be appreciated by the family.
