Obituary of Yolande Bédard

Obituary It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yolande Bédard at the age of 85. Yolande passed away peacefully at her home on the 6th of August, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Normand (2008) of 56 years. Dear mother of sons; Ray, Paul (Patty) all of Welland and Marc (Lynne) of Orillia. Also a daughter Louise-Anne (Harry) Comfort of Kitchener. Cherished grandmaman of 6 grandchildren; Chris, Eric, Joel, Patrick, Daniel, Chloé and 2 great-grandchildren Emma and Liam. She leaves behind to grieve her; her sister Lilliane Addario (late Angelo 2014), her brother-in-law Frank Pisani (late Marguerite 2000), predeceased by her brother Maurice Pigeon. She will be sadly missed by her in-laws, Jeannine Bédard (late Yvon 1993), André and Huguette Guillemette all of Welland, Réal and Marie Bédard of Ottawa and Claude and Janine Bédard of Laval, Quebéc. Yolande was born in Welland and was a faithful parishioner of Église Sacré-Coeur all her life. She was an exceptional gourmet cook and enjoyed making delicious meals for her family. She was a wonderful seamstress and took great pleasure in making and mending clothing for her children, grandchildren and friends. Yolande had an incredible zest for life and enjoyed 15 winters in Florida with her late husband Normand upon retirement. Due to an immediate family member being overseas, the visitation and funeral have been delayed. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland on Thursday, August 23rd, from 2p.m. - 4 p.m & 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Église Sacré-Coeur on Friday, August 24th, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
