Obituary of Ovila Vocal

Obituary At the Welland Hospital on April 10th, 2018 Mr. Ovila Vocal passed away at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Simone (nee Coulombe). Loving father of Laurier (Gisèle), the late Normand, Linda Vocal, Sylvie Vocal and Richard (Catherine). Cherished grandpa of 9 grandchildren; Mathieu, Marie-Eve, Jean-Sébastien, Julien, David, Malachi, Melissa, Christopher and Valerie and 6 great grandchildren; Carter, Ashlyn, Tyler, Meaghan, Logan and McKenna. Dear brother of Mariette (Lucien Lamontagne), Vincent (Lillian), Réjeanne (the late Gilles Tanguay), Armelle (Donald Asselin), Réjean (Raymonde). Predeceased by his parents Constanzo and Adela (nee Guénard), grandson Sacha, 2 brothers; Francis and Yvon and 1 sister Luiggia. Ovila was born in St. Camille de Bellechasse and moved to Welland where he worked at Atlas Steels until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Chevaliers de Colomb 8296. In accordance with Ovila's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland, Friday April 13th, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the service at 12 taking place at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
