Obituary of Tony Mazzei

Obituary It is with loving memories and saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Tony Mazzei on February 23rd, 2018 at the age of 54. Loving husband of Cheryl (nee Popkey). Devoted father of Hannah and Tyler. Cherished son of Carmelo and Maria (nee Sdao) Mazzei. Dear brother of Carmen (Debbie) and Connie (Jake Johnston). He will be sadly missed by his nieces Meaghan, Sydney, Emily and nephew Ludvig. Forever in the hearts of his mother-in-law and father-in-law Nancy & Raymond Popkey, sister-in-law Darlene (Jens Neilsen) and brother-in-law David Popkey (Nadine). He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers. Tony was Director of Operations Ontario for Bell Expertech and was in his 32nd year. He was an avid fisherman, adventure traveler, enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time at the cottage. He coached Rep Basketball and was a loyal fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and the Buffalo Bills. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street Welland on Sunday (today) February 25, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. and Monday, February 26th, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Andrews The Apostle Church. Entombment will follow in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Genetic Aortic Disorders Association Canada.
