Obituary of Alcide Violette

Obituary Alcide Violette passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital on February 8th, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Jeannette (née Rochefort) 1999. Loving brother of François (Diane), Richard, Gerry (Ann), Roger (Cynthia), Ernest (Kim), Noella (Jim), Madeleine and Catherine (Leo). Sadly missed by his step son Marcel Tremblay, as well as many grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Estelle (née Demers), brothers Michel and Florian & step children Larry Tremblay, Denis Tremblay, Robert Tremblay, Lorraine Tremblay and Suzanne Tremblay-Violette. He was a member of the Legion and worked at Atlas Steele for over 20 years. He belonged to the cribbage league and euchre league and loved fishing. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME. In accordance with Alcide's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive their relatives and friends for a Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion 383 Morningstar Ave., Welland, on Friday, February 23rd, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Welland. Memorial donations would be appreciated by the family to Niagara Health Foundation (Welland Hospital) or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4.
