Obituary of Gilles Poulin

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Gilles Poulin on Thursday, January 18th, 2018 at the Welland Hospital. He leaves his devoted wife Raymonde ( Duval) and his children; Stéphane (Jennifer) and Valerie (Mike Azotini). Loving grandpapa of Naythan Poulin and Ryan Poulin, Eden-Raye Azotini and Jacob Frank Azotini. Loving brother of Ghislaine, Denis (Jocelyne), Suzanne (Jean-Guy Duval), Marcel (Ginette), Ernest (Carole), Claire (Jean-Charles LePage), Yvon (Donna), Clermont (Nicole). Brother-in-law of Réal Duval (Francine) and Jocelyn (Gaëtanne). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Armand and Germaine (Brisson) Poulin and one sister Jacqueline Charrois. Gilles was born in St. Fabien de Panet, Québec in 1941 and moved to Welland in 1966. He was an active member of the Chevaliers de Colomb. He spent most of his working life as a commercial driver but his true love was always his family. He will be terribly missed by so many. In keeping with Gilles' wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will meet relatives and friends at Église Sacré Coeur, 72 Empire St., Welland on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. until the service at 1:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Help a Child Smile will be appreciated by the family.
