Obituary of Jerry Norman
It is with great sorrow we announce the unexpected passing of Jerry Norman in Wainfleet on October 21, 2017 at the age of 65. Devoted husband of Suzanne (nee Nolet) for 47 years. Loving father of Jamie (JoAnne). Dear brother of Eddy Arnold (Linda), Diane (Chris) Woodruff, Larry Norman, Ben Hendrix, Dale Cole. Predeceased by his parents Archie and Dora (nee Smith), his brother Ricky Norman and sister Linda Norman. He will be dearly missed by his father-in-law Gaston Champigny (late Huguette) his sisters and brother-in-law Helene Bourque (Al), Guy Nolet (Lise), Carole Criece (Gary), Roger Nolet, Richard Champigny (Vicky). He will also be fondly remembered by numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and friends.
Jerry was a simple man, who was passionate about his work and enjoyed spending time with his family and working on vehicles with his son Jamie. He worked as a machinist at Welland Forge for 45 years before his retirement in January 2017.
Respecting Jerry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family would like invite their relatives and friends to the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main St., Welland on Thursday, October 26th, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 27th, 2017 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
Interment will follow at Pleasantview Funeral Home, 2000 Merrittville Hwy 20 Fonthill (Hwy 20 and Merrittville).Charitable donations may be made to:
