Obituary of Daniel Reale
It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of Daniel Claude Reale on June 25th, 2017 at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. Devoted husband of Lori Ann (née Moro). Loving father of Meghan (Ronald Realesmith) and Courtney (Neil Hingston). Daniel will be watching over his unborn grand-daughter Evelyn. Dear brother of Denise (Klaus Skowronnek), Marc, Patrick (Denice). Survived by his mother-in-law Viviane Moro and sister-in-law to Michele Giampaolo (Mike). He will be sadly missed by his nieces Kendra, Erika, Malayna, Brandi, Paige, Kelsey, Elisha, Kennedie, Olivia and Brynn and nephews Taylor and Jake. Predeceased by his parents Sam Cipolla and Joan (née Bisson) Reale-Cipolla and brother-in-law Frank Moro. For Dan, his family (and the friends that became family) was always his number one priority because “Family is Forever”.
Dan was a gentle soul. Devoted to his Catholic faith, Dan was a loyal parishioner at l’Église du Sacré-Coeur and served as the coordinator of the church’s Out of the Cold program in the winter months for many years. During football season, he spent his Sunday afternoons with his brothers fervently cheering for his favorite football team, the Buffalo Bills©, from his favorite green chair. His Tuesdays were often reserved for date nights with his sister. He enjoyed riding his John Deer tractor, mowing the lawn while listening to WGR Sports on his radio. His black lab, Tucker, was always by his side, for many walks together followed by long peaceful sits with his Lori Ann on the front porch, he lovingly built with his father.
The family would like the extend a multitude of thanks to Bob Porter and Ed Grosskurth for their friendship to Dan and for their visits to the hospital; he really looked forward to them. As well as to our neighbors Ron and Sue McLeod for their help and support over the years. We would also like to thank Lana and Nancy from the Trillium Gift of Life Network for their patience and compassion in honouring Dan’s wishes. Through organ donation Dan, was able to assist in improving the quality of life of 5 individuals.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main St., Welland Thursday, June 29th, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Eglise du Sacré Coeur on Friday, June 30th, 2017 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Eglise Sacre Coeur, Trillium Gift of Life Network, or charity of choice.Charitable donations may be made to:
