Obituary of Raymond Blais

BLAIS - Raymond It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond Blais at the Welland Hospital on Thursday, May 18th, 2017 at the age of 82. Loving and devoted husband of 62 years to Yvette (Daudelin) Blais. Cherished father of Michel (Kathie), Monique (Lance Marion), Annette (Norm Carrey). Dear brother of Tom Blais. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren; Trevor Blais (Jenn), Rebecca Blais, Ian Mercer (Cassie), Lenie Sliter (Shawn), James Marion (Kim Stitt), Marc Marion (Brenda Quinney), Cathy (Paul Aquino), Rick Carrey and his great grandchildren; Myra and Ryan Soares, Sarah Schriver, Kayden Andersen, Jaxson Mercer, Matthew Mantler, Dillan and Ryleigh Sliter, Channing & Sophie Marion. Raymond was born in Lac Mégantic, Québec on January 22, 1935 and moved to Welland in 1952 where he worked for Northside Dairy for 25 years and 18 years at Ford. In accordance with Raymond's wishes, cremation has taken place.The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main Street Welland on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 9 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
