Obituary BLAIS - Gaston, 1931-2019 It is with much sadness we announce the death of Gaston Blais at the Rapelje Lodge on November 13, 2019, at the age of 88. Loving father of Norm (Bonnie). Devoted companion of Bibiane Resch and her family. Dear brother of Cécile (late Alphonse) Bisson, Jean-Thomas (Mariette), Simone (late Ray) Bergeron, Guy (Janet) and sister-in-law June. He will be missed by his granddaughter Jennifer (Mike), great grandson David, daughters-in-law Petrea and Dianne, his brother-in-law Yvon Proulx (Brenda), and many nieces, nephews and cousins across Canada,the US and Australia. Predeceased by his parents Louis and Eugénie Blais, his wife Jeannette, his 2 sons Gérard and Robert and his siblings Ovila (Dora), Emilien (Yvette), Gérard (Berthe), Henri-Louis (Lucienne), Jean-Marie (Anne-Marie). He was an active member of the Chevaliers de Colomb Conseil 8296 and loved camping and hunting in his spare time. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 Main Street, Welland on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Église Sacré Coeur at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association will be appreciated by the family.
