Obituary of Justine Gallant

It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family of Justine Gallant announces her passing on March 22nd, 2017 at the age of 88. Cherished mother of Paul (Ninetta) and Marc (Lina) Adored grandmother of Jason (Sheri), Andrew (Ali), Blake (Lindsey) Craig (Amber), Jessica and Madison. Great-grandmother of Davina, Malcom, Sophia and Cole. She will be sadly missed by her two sisters Cecile (Didace Roy) and Lucille (Roland Guillemette) all of Quebec. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and brother and sister in laws. Predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years Gabriel Gallant (July 2, 2016) and by two children Andre and Marcel of Welland, also by her parents Leon Goupil, Laura Goupil (Lecours), sisters and brothers: Adrienne Goupil (Lucien Gingras) Antonia Goupil (Andre Myre). Leo Goupil (Julienne Lapointe). Clement Goupil (Monique Dumont), Ovila Goupil (Gertrude Bourque), Jeanne Goupil (Fernand Lapointe), Germaine Goupil (Jean Dubois), Roger Goupil, (Mari Aug Carrier), Jean-Paul Goupil, Juliette (Lozenge Labrie) and Donat Goupil (Gisele Marceau) all of Quebec. Born in St. Magloire Quebec in 1929 she came to live in Welland in 1947 where she met her love in 1950 and married in 1951. Her passions were her grandchildren, her home and cooking. The family will receive family and friends at the Welland Funeral Home 827 East Main St. on Monday, March 27th, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral to be held on Tuesday, March 28th, 2017 in Eglise Sacre Coeur at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
