Obituary of Nicole Laroche

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Nicole (Nee Desbiens) Laroche at the Welland Hospital on Friday, March 3rd, 2017 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of the late Armand Laroche. Loving mother of Yvan (Pauline) and Linda (Rick Lapointe). Dear sister of Odette (Jean Constantineau). Memère will be forever in the hearts of her grandchildren; Stéphane (Jennifer), Jamie, Brigitte (Dan), Theresa (Archie), Jessica, Brock (Jodi), Rachel (Rob) and her great grandchildren; Seth, Paige, Archie, Logan and a 5th great grandchild on the way. Predeceased by her parents Edmond and Régina (nee Allard), her daughter Christiane, her brothers Yves, Jean-Guy and sister Yvette. She will be missed by her in-laws Yvette, Emile, Roland, Gemma and especially Lucienne whom she adored. As well as many nieces and nephews. Nicole was born in Jonquière, Paroisse St. Dominique, Québec in1940 and became a Welland resident over 50 years ago. She was passionate for her career as a professional tax preparer. Through the love for her job and her kind heart, Nicole would offer her services with the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program. In accordance with Nicole's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family would like to invite relatives and friends to the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland on Wednesday, March 8th, 2017 from 9 a.m. until service time in the chapel at 11 a.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date. For those wishing to make a donation in memory of Nicole, cards for the Welland & District Humane Society are available at the funeral home. Elle laisse dans la deuil ses enfants adorés Yvan (Pauline), Linda (Rick Lapointe) et feu Christiane, ses chers petits-enfants Stéphane (Jennifer), Jamie, Brigitte (Dan), Theresa (Archie), Jessica, Brock (Jodi) et Rachel (Rob) ainsi que ses arrière-petits-enfants Seth, Paige, Archie, Logan et un cinquième petit à naître. Elle était la fille de feu Edmond Desbiens et de feu Régina Allard, la sœur d’Odette (Jean Constantineau), de feu Yves (feu Lucienne Gallant), feu Jean-Guy (Nicole Gagnon) et feu Yvette (feu Yvon Drolet). Elle manquera à sa belle-famille, soit Yvette, Émile, Roland, Gemma et surtout Lucienne, qu'elle adorait, de même qu’à de nombreux neveux, nièces et amis. Nicole est née en 1940 dans la paroisse Saint-Dominique à Jonquière, au Québec, et elle s’était installée à Welland il y a plus de 50 ans. Elle adorait sa carrière de spécialiste en déclaration de revenus professionnelle et offrait généreusement ses services dans le cadre du Programme communautaire des bénévoles en impôt sur le revenu. Conformément à sa volonté, la crémation a déjà eu lieu. La famille invite ses parents et amis au Salon funéraire de Welland, situé au 827, East Main Street, Welland, le mercredi 8 mars 2017 de 9 h à 11 h. Une cérémonie suivra dans la chapelle. Un enterrement privé aura lieu à une date ultérieure. Pour ceux et celles qui souhaiteraient faire un don en mémoire de Nicole, des cartes de la Welland & District Humane Society (SPCA) seront disponibles à la maison funéraire.
