Obituary of Vincenzo Guzzi

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Vincenzo Guzzi, on February 3, 2017 at the age of 89. Devoted husband of Matilda (Marasco). Loving father of Joseph (Rita), Mary (Andy Morrison) and John (Karen). Dear brother of Alfredo Guzzi (Carmelina), John Guzzi (Paola), Concentina (late Michele Damiano), Matilde (late Antonio Pane), Carmelina (Italo Boggia) and Ida (late Luigi Marasco). Nonno will be forever in the hearts of his 7 grandchildren Suzanna (Joseph Arcuri), Jennifer, Stephanie, Melissa, Emily, Tina and Sonya. Cherished bisnonno of Fiona, Eva and Joseph Arcuri. Born in Decollatura, Italy to Joseph and Luigina (Consela) Guzzi in 1927, Vincenzo moved to Canada at a young age and settled in Welland where he worked as a tailor and at Wabasso Cotton Mill for many years. Vincenzo was very musically gifted. A special thanks to Dr. Song and the nurses & staff at ILTC Unit of Welland Hospital. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland on Monday, February 6th, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 7th, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 22 Golden Blvd,. Welland. Entombment will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Hwy 20, Fonthill.
