Rita and Slyvia used to babysit my sister Marianne and I when we were young girls and i remember having fun with with both of them. I am deeply saddened to learn of Rita’s passing. Growing up Rita was a great friend, who was always a source of support, positivity and many laughs. While we were separated by distance throughout our adult lives, she remained close to my heart and I always looked forward to returning home to visit my dear friend. Rita was funny, thoughtful and kind. No matter how long we went without seeing each other, when we were reunited it was like no time had passed. I will always cherish her friendship and think back fondly on the memories we shared. My sincerest sympathies to Clayton and Rita’s family.

Rita was one of my closest friends for a very long time. I remember when she first met you. You were a very exciting secret for a little while. She kept you to herself at first, then let us in on her new found happiness.
