Obituary of Raynald Brochu

BROCHU - Raynald "Ray the bus driver" It is with broken hearts that we announce Ray's peaceful passing on Wednesday, October 5th, 2016 at the Foyer Richelieu Welland at the age of 75. Loving husband of Irene (nee Davies). Cherished dad of Janet (Paul Desjardins), Carol (Dave Aucoin) and Debbie Ruzylo (Rob Plouffe). Papa will be forever in the hearts of his 3 grandchildren; Ryan Dixon, Britni Desjardins and Shelby Ruzylo. Dear brother of Gilles (Linda), Nicole (Fern Deschamps), Carm (Tom Delaney), Doris (Denis Raby), Monique (Jean-Roch St. Pierre) and Pauline (Mike Dallaire), along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Juliette (nee Chabot) Brochu, his sisters Lorraine and Jane and his brother Jean -Guy (Cecile). William and Agnes Davies(Parents In-Law), Christine McGean (Sister In-Law). Ray will be fondly remembered by The Davies Family, Paul & Julienne Lapointe and Family and Chance Ruzylo and Family, Ray was born in St. Magloire de Bellechasse in 1940. He was a bus driver for Welland Transit 29 years. He built many relationships in those years and that made his job something that was enjoyed every day. Ray had a passion for going to Florida, bowling, fishing and strong love for the Special Olympic and traveling to Ryan’s events. In accordance with Ray's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main Street, Welland, Monday, October 10th, 2016 from 1p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Special Olympics or Fonds Foyer Richelieu would be appreciated by the family. *PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL CONDOLENCES MUST BE APPROVED PRIOR TO APPEARING ONLINE Service Information
