Obituary of Marianne Bonazza

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Marianne (Nee Biehl) Bonazza after a brief and courageous battle at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Sunday, January10th, 2016. Devoted wife of the late Bruno Bonazza (2007). Cherished mother of Vincenzo (Jennifer), Nancy (Louis Elia), Mary (Jim Karagiannis) and Marlene (Patrick Preston). She will be forever in the hearts of her grandchildren; Stefan & Christian Bonazza, Anthony, Allissa and Alessandro Elia, Nicholas, Andrew & Emma Karagiannis and Carson, Mason and Ella Preston. Also sadly missed by her brothers and sisters in laws; Teresa Belcamino (late Aldo), Louisa Bonazza (late Salvatore), Rosa Bonazza (late Giuseppe), Biagia Bonazza (late Biagio), Carmela (Emilio) DeSimone, Ambrogio Bonazza (Louise), Maria (Carmelo) Chininea, Cosimo Bonazza (Frances) and Giuseppe Schiafone (late Marlene, Marianne's sister). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Heinrich and Maria Biehl and her brother Otto Biehl. Marianne's life revolved around caring for and loving her family. She lived by her motto; "I live for my kids and my grandkids". Despite her battle and the pain she endured, she was always pleasant and in good spirits, because of her will to live, but God only takes the best. A special thanks to her dear niece Rose Wheeler for all her support and help. Thank you to the St. Catharines General Hospital Floor 3 A & B, Dr. Nagai, Dr. Hughes and Dr. Ali for all their wonderful care and compassion. Funeral Details The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main Street, Welland, Tuesday, January 12th, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Funeral Mass will be conducted by Father Raymond Fenech Gonzi at St. Mary's Parish, 90 Griffith St., Welland on Wednesday, January 13th, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
