Obituary of Ruth Guenette

With saddened hearts the family of Ruth (Labonté) Guenette announces her passing on Monday, January 4th, 2016 at Rapelje Lodge in Welland at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Paul Guenette. Loving mother of Linda (Keith Steacy), Jacques (Jennifer MacDougall) and Eric Guenette. She will be forever cherished by her grandchildren Véronique (Adrien), Patrick, Stephane, Melanie, Crystal, Weston, Sebastian and Emily. Ruth will be sadly missed by her sisters Louise (Marcel) Laurent and Michelle Labonté. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Henri Labonté and Yvette (nee Guimond) Labonté and siblings Jacques, Claude, Denis and Janine. A heartfelt thank you to Phyllis Parker for your love, care and friendship throughout the years and the staff at Rapelje Lodge for your excellent care and support this past year. Funeral Details The family will receive relatives and friends at the Welland Funeral Home 827 East Main Street, Welland on Saturday, January 9th from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 3p.m. with Father Vijay Amirtharaj, CSC from The Parish Community of St. Kevin's Church officiating. Cremation will follow.
