Obituary of Stella Pace

With saddened hearts the family of Stella (Belcamino) Pace announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Port Colborne General Hospital at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the Late Terzo Pace. Loving mother of Fernanda Curcio (Joe), Angelina Carrier (Denis), Rosemary Breitenbach (Ken), late Silvana Pace (Kevin Kirk), Adriana Wilson (Guy) and Rita Booth (Clayton). Sister of Luigina Pace and Joseph Belcamino (Bruna). Cherished grandmother of Julie, Michael (Mirella), Dean (Hana), Daniel (Erin), Jennifer, Candace, Kenny Jr. (Gayle), Erica (Jeff), Bryan and Dylan. She will be sadly missed by her great grandchildren Vanessa, Benjamin, Francesco, Victoria, Emily, Megan, Jenna and Jeffery. She was predeceased by her parents Salvatore and Rosaria, brother Nello and Aldo. Stella was born in Serra San Bruno, Cantanzaro, Italy. She worked for many years to help provide for her family at the Welland Annex Hospital, St. David's Canning Factory, The Lanark followed by the District School Board in her later years. Mrs. Pace enjoyed family gatherings where she served delicious traditional authentic Italian meals. Stella was an amazing mother and an exceptional lady who was our pillar of strength. We were blessed with her infinite wisdom and great advice. Funeral Details The family will receive relatives and friends at the Welland Funeral Home 827 East Main Street Welland on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday in St. Andrew's the Apostle Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. at the corner of East Main Street and St. Andrews Ave., Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, at the corner of Niagara St and Woodlawn Rd. Vigil prayers for Stella will be celebrated Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy donations by cheque to St. Andrew's Church will be greatly appreciated by the family.
