Rick was a good friend as well as my neighbour for many years while I lived in Welland ON. We had many interesting conversations through the years. These conversations were very inspiring as we shared our thoughts together. Rick loved his family and he loved life; his love of automobiles was equally important in Ricks life. You couldn't ever meet a nicer gentleman than Rick who cared for his family through many difficult challenges in their lives. John Delgaty sr.
We knew Rick as a gentleman and as a loving, caring Husband, Father, and Grandfather He seemed to take whatever life threw at him and just kept on going with that outward smile. The absolute love he had for his family was obvious to all who knew him. He was truly one of the good guys who will be missed. RIP good friend.

Rick and you were very special people. I remember Rick always had a smile on his face whenever I saw him. I think the last time I saw him was at to Rapelje or it could of been the Mall.
I know this is a very sad time for you. It’s hard when we lose our lifetime partner.

Im proud to say Rick Hatton was my friend. I knew him for over 30 years. In that time I came to love him as a brother. Despite hardships beyond what any family should have to endure, Rick and his family were "First responders" when it came to helping others in need. A truly selfless person.
