Obituary THOMPSON - Esther Marie "Peggy" 1927-2020 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Esther Marie "Peggy" Thompson on February 2, 2020 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Bud Thompson (2011). Loving mother of Stephen (Louise) and Mary Lou Linton (the late Paul Linton) and (the late James Buote). Dear sister of Stanley (Lyette), Michael (Isabel), Marjorie (John). She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law; Glady and Lisa, as well as her grandchildren; Shawna (Matt), Amber (Jason), Kailey (Chris), Steven; Megan and 10 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Geraldine Robitaille, her son, Greg, her grandson, Casey Linton and her siblings; JB, Doug, Ron (Frieda), Frank and Monsignor Ken Robitaille. Peggy was actively involved in the Catholic Women's League and was passionate about volunteering as a bereavement counsellor and offering her services for Hospice. In accordance with Peggy's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will welcome their family and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
