Obituary of Brigitte Lagacé

Obituary We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Brigitte (née Tremblay) Lagacé on January 19, 2020. Devoted wife and soulmate of 50 years to Gérald Lagacé. Cherished mother of Maxime Lagacé of Oakville, On., Stéphane Lagacé of Gallway, Ireland and Geneviève Lagacé-Gore (Greg Gore) of Barrie, ON. Mamie will be forever in the hearts of her grandsons; Marcus Gore, Jacob Gore, Sebastian Lagacé and Ryan Lagacé. She leaves behind her siblings; Marc Tremblay (Ginette Lévesque), Éric Tremblay both of Montréal, Québec, Dominique Tremblay (Marc Pelletier), André Tremblay both of Québec, Québec, Julie Tremblay (Valmont Dubé) of L’Ancienne-Lorette, Québec. Predeceased by her parents Philippe and Gilberte (Boucher) Tremblay. Brigitte was devoted to her family and friends and enjoyed her time with them at Long Beach and was passionate about her gardens and her cooking. Brigitte dedicated many years to her volunteering and serving as Sacristain at l’Eglise Sacré-Coeur of Welland. She had a passion for serving the parishioners and truly enjoyed helping to organize events at Salle Sacré-Coeur. Brigitte was a member of Les Filles d'Isabelle and cherished her time with her fellow sisters. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Église Sacré Coeur, 72 Empire Street, Welland on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations to ALS Society of Canada will be appreciated by the family.
