Obituary of Gaston Nolet
Obituary
GASTON ‘GOOSE’ NOLET, 1939-2020. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gaston Nolet, on December 15th at the Welland Hospital, after a short battle with cancer. His loyal friend, Nicole Morin and his beloved daughter, Jessica Nolet-Perrons, were at his side. He also leaves behind his loving grandsons, Martin and Thomas Perrons and his dear son-in-law, Trevor Perrons. He was predeceased by his parents, Magloire and Yvonne Nolet, his sisters Laure-Yvonne (late Paul Mazzerolle), Ghislaine (late Gilles Brisson), Jeannine (late Elphège Dion) Edith (late Adélard Morin), Olivette (late Walter Antoniuk), his brother Roch (Alice Nolet), and still with us, his sisters Rose-Blanche (late René Mazzerolle), Lorraine (late Richard May), Fleurette Damico, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was an avid lover of golf; his great golfing friends, Al Billyard, Paul Cornwall, Mario DiCenzo, Norm and Ron Poulin will miss him; they will fondly remember their many golfing days and trips, as they were cherished memories of his in his last days. A long time employee and foreman at Atlas Steel in Welland, he made many friends among his colleagues there. He spent the last month of his life at Shorthills Villa Retirement Home in Fonthill. We’d like to say a big thank you to the staff, at all levels, for their caring and compassion. A thank you also to the LHIN Palliative Team for their helpfulness and caring in his last months. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date. See you all on the golf course...

GASTON “GOOSE” NOLET, 1939-2020.
