Our mother was well respected and loved by all that knew her. She was a stay-at-home mom and enjoyed many activities such as bowling, cards, bingo and walking. She also loved travelling and seeing the world and was a great story teller. She kept her own house until she was 72 years old; trimming trees, planting flowers and cutting the grass with the Kubota (which also pulled the trailer filled with her grandchildren). She had an infectious laugh, an amazing smile and was very independent.
We would like to thank the staff at Chippawa Creek Bella Long Term Care for always looking after our mom and a big thanks to the staff at the GNGH for their compassion during this difficult time.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated by the family.
