Obituary of Bambina Ventresca
Its with profonde sadness that we the family of Bambina (Bambi) ( Guglielmi) Ventresca announce her peaceful passing on October 27th 2021 in her 82nd year. Loving wife of the late Gelsomino Ventresca. Cherished mother of Rachele Roversi and David Ventresca (Rita). Beloved grandmother of Erica and Elisa Roversi and Robert and Laura Ventresca. Dear sister of Frank Guglielmi (Margaret), Tito Guglielmi (Ruth). Bambina will also be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins from Canada, USA and Italy. She was predeceased by her parents Panfilo and Gina (née Leone), brother Tony Guglielmi and sister Angela Di Cesare.
Bambi was happiest when she was cooking for her family with her grandchildren by her side. Those memories brought her a lot of joy in her later years. Bambi was a tireless volunteer, as a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Women League, Casa Dante Lodge/Order of the Sons of Italy. She was a lifelong bowler and bocce player. Bambi and Gelso were avid travelers to many wonderful destinations. They are together now on their final journey.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Welland Funeral Home 827 East Main Street Welland on Friday from 3 pm to 7pm. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral home Chapel on Saturday at 11am with interment to follow at Pleasantview Cemetery Thorold. Guests must reserve their spot to attend the visitation and/or the service. Please click the R.S.V.P. link on our website to schedule your attendance. Those that attend are required to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Lining up of guests will be managed by the funeral home staff both indoors and outdoors. If desired donations to the Woodlands of Sunset will be greatly appreciated by the family.
