Obituary of Dusan Cugalj

Obituary CUGALJ, Dusan (Denny) Passed away peacefully on May 20, 2019 while surrounded by family, at the age of 78, after a long battle with heart disease. Dusan is survived by and will be sadly missed by Mary Lou, his devoted wife of 47 years, children Lucas (April) and Julie. He cherished his time with and will be greatly missed by grandchildren Cassandra, Sabrina and Alex. He was a dear uncle to Rade (Milica) Putnik. Dusan always looked out for others and was a special grandpa to Michael Putnik and Jordan Paul. He is survived by sister Mara Putnik. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends, both in Canada and abroad. He is predeceased by his parents Lazo and Julika (Bodlovic) Cugalj, uncle Pavao Cugalj and brothers and sisters in the former Yugoslavia. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Welland Funeral Home, 827 East Main Street, Welland, on Friday, May 24 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be on Saturday, May 25 at 11 a.m. in the Welland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, 10672 Lakeshore Rd., Wainfleet.
