Obituary of Rosaire Mercier
C'est avec tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Rosaire Mercier à sa résidence avec sa famille aimante à ses côtés le vendredi 15 avril 2022, à l'âge de 84 ans. Époux bien-aimé de Jacqueline (Rodrigue) Mercier depuis plus de 61 ans. Père adoré de Leo (Liette), Andre (Mary), Joanne (Mike Paroshy) et Lynne (Marc Bedard). Grand-père bien-aimé de Ryan, Mathew, Denis, Patrick, Mikaila, Christopher, Nicholas, Joel et Daniel, et 3 arrière-petits-enfants, Berklee, Sutton et Lexi. Cher frère de Colette Brouillard, Philippe Mercier et Pierrette Mercier.
Ne soyez pas tristes, oubliez votre chagrin, car là où je suis maintenant, il n’y a ni larmes, ni souffrance, ni maladie, ni douleur. Le bonheur que je vis dans les cieux est encore plus grand que celui que j’ai connu sur terre. J’ai trouvé auprès de Dieu la lumière et l’amour infini. Réjouissez-vous, il veille sur moi et m’a accordé le repos et la paix éternelle.

It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Rosaire Mercier at his residence with his loving family at his side on Friday April 15 2022, at the age of 84. Loving husband of Jacqueline (Rodrigue) Mercier for over 61 years. Cherished father of Leo (Liette), Andre (Mary), Joanne (Mike Paroshy) and Lynne (Marc Bedard). Loving grand-père of Ryan, Mathew, Denis, Patrick, Mikaila, Christopher, Nicholas, Joel and Daniel, and 3 great-grandchildren, Berklee, Sutton and Lexi. Dear brother of Colette Brouillard, Philippe Mercier and Pierrette Mercier.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE on Friday April 22 2022, from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10am at Paroisse Sacre Coeur, Welland. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Walker Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered "Come to Me". A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands now rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
