C'est avec une grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Gilberte Strasbourg (née Veillette) le dimanche 8 mai 2022, à l'âge de 83 ans. Épouse bien-aimée de feu Lucien Strasbourg. Mère adorée de Richard (Joyce) et Chantale (Guy). Elle manquera à ses petits-enfants; David (Ashley), Marie-Christine, Joanne, Jocelyne (Jesse) Erich et arrière-petits-enfants; Fayth et Grace. Chère soeur d'Adélard, Albert, Roch, Lucien, Wellie, Henri, Cécile, Adrienne, Marie, Édith, Noëla et Alice. Prédécédée par ses parents Léopold et Albana (née Trépanier).
Maman adorait lire des tabloïds et Reader's Digest, jardiner et regarder des écureuils et des lapins dans la cour. Elle était collectionneuse de cuillères et adorait les chats. Elle a particulièrement aimé et chéri tous les moments de plaisir avec toutes les visites de ses frères et sœurs.
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilberte Strasbourg (née Veillette) on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at the age 83. Beloved wife of the late Lucien Strasbourg. Cherished mother of Richard (Joyce) and Chantale (Guy). She will be missed by her grandchildren; David (Ashley), Marie-Christine, Joanne, Jocelyne (Jesse) Erich and great grandchildren; Fayth and Grace. Dear sister of Adélard, Albert, Roch, Lucien, Wellie, Henri, Cécile, Adrienne, Marie, Édith, Noëla and Alice. Predeceased by her parents Léopold and Albana (née Trépanier).
Mom loved reading tabloids and Reader's Digest, gardening and watching squirrels and rabbits in the yard. She was a collector of spoons and loved cats. She especially loved and cherished all of the fun times with all her sibling’s visits. Gilberte was a long time member of the Filles D’Isabelle.
WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE have had the honour to care for Gilberte and her family. As an expression of sympathy donations made to the SPCA Welland will be greatly appreciated by the family.
