Obituary of Craig Wright Douglas
It is with great sorrow that the family of Craig Douglas announces his passing on Friday May 13th, 2022 at the Welland Hospital, in his 79th year.
Cherished husband of Murielle (née Raby) for 31 years. Loving father of Dale , Cynthia Teravich (Mike), Kevin (Jackie), Michelle, Dawn and Lindsay. Dear brother of Keith Douglas (Deborah) and Sharon Cooke (Bruce). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Josh, Jessica, Brooke, Kyle and Patrick along with his many nieces and nephews. Craig was predeceased by his parents Edward and Marjorie Douglas.
For many years Craig was a member of the Niagara South no hit league and a referee and coach for ringette. He was also a referee and a coach for women’s slow pitch.
Craig loved country music, classic cars, gardening and cooking. He was a fan of Jeopardy and an avid Euchre player.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main Street, Welland on Tuesday May 17th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday May 18th in the chapel of the funeral home at 10 am. Cremation will follow. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be greatly appreciated by the family.
