Obituary of Louis Joseph Amedee Labbé
We, the family of Louis A. Labbé, announce his passing on May 14, 2022 at the Welland Hospital at the age of 87. He was predeceased by his loving wife Jeannine (Légaré) Labbé. Cherished father of Diane (Rosaire), Lise, and Louis II (Nancy), late Léo, late Joseph, late André and late Jeanne. Dad will be sadly missed by his 6 grandchildren Salvatore, Anna, Shawn, Ronald, Kia and Louis III and 6 great-grandchildren, Courtney, William, Melyna, Haylee, Benjamin and Rose. Dear brother of Louisette (Maurice Godbout) (late Gabriel), late Roger (late Huguette), late Ghislaine (late Jean-Claude), Marie-Blanche (Roland), Marcel (Gisele), Jean-Claude (Monique), Émile (Yollande)(late Francine), Denis (Suzanne), Denise (Jacques), Monique (Adrien) and Gabriel (Marianne). Predeceased by his parents Adélard and Marie-Ange (nee Fortier). He will also be missed by his in-laws, Yvette (late Léandre) and Réal (Dianne).
Dad was a long-standing member of the Knights of Columbus, holding many positions over the years. He enjoyed family vacations and spending winters in Florida with mom and their many friends. He volunteered at Les Mongolflières in Québec. He owned Niagara Roofers for many years and loved having family meals.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main Street, Welland on Sunday, July 3, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 4, 2022, in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation will be greatly appreciated by the family.
