Obituary of David Ducharme
It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our brother David Edward Ducharme on August 9, 2022, in his home at the age of 61. Dear brother of Deborah (James), Dwayne (Sharon), Darcy and the late Darryl Ducharme. Loving father of the late Joshua Raymond Ducharme. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews Jennifer (Jim), Michael, Joe (Tanya), Nathanael, Basil, Paris, Mason (Amanda), Skye (Andrew), Andrew, Amery as well as his great-nieces and nephews Megan, Owen and Jacob. He was predeceased by his parents Aaron John Edward Ducharme and Dolores Arline Brandt.
David was born in Port Colborne, Ontario, in 1960. As a young boy he enjoyed writing poetry and was first published in grade 6. He also enjoyed playing chess, music, hockey, swimming and school.
Throughout David’s adult life he shared his passion for singing and playing guitar in the community, at fundraising and charitable events, and from his front porch. He was well loved within his neighbourhood by both the young and the old. He celebrated life and was sincerely grateful for all those who touched his heart with their kindness, friendship and generosity.
WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE have had the honour of serving David and his family. A graveside service will be held in loving memory of David at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Greenwood Cemetery, 1900 Thompson Road, Fort Erie, Ontario.
