Obituary of Ezio Morello

Obituary Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on April 10, 2019 at the age of 93 after losing his battle with cancer. Loving father of Gloria (Guido), David (Kimberley), and Mark (Shannon). He is missed by his grandchildren; Paul, Marina, Kendra, Kortney and Tyler. Predeceased by his wife Florence (nee D'Onofrio) 2009 and his parents Massimo and Valentina Morello. Ezio was an avid reader, strong supporter of the Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He lived a healthy lifestyle, keeping active through walking, cycling, swimming, curling and bowling. Ezio enjoyed travelling and lived a full life guided by a "family first" philosophy. He lived his life as an exemplary role model to his family and will be greatly missed by his loved ones. We would like to thank the caring staff at Portal Village, St Elizabeth's Health Care team, and the South Niagara Palliative Care team for their commitment to the best care possible for our dad. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Vigil prayers will begin at 2 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 90 Griffith St, Welland on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. The Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Parkinson Canada and Canadian Cancer will be appreciated by the family.
