Obituary of Jackie Dubé-Leathers

After a life filled with adventures and great memories, Jackie passed away peacefully on June 10, 2023, with her family at her side. Wife to Leon Leathers. Cherished daughter of Carmelle Dubé (née Pellerin) and the late Louis Dubé. Forever in the hearts of her siblings; Denis Dubé, Annette (Warren) VanNatter, Ginette (Douglas) Anger, and her “soul sister” Monica (Carl) Ryan. Jackie will be greatly missed by her; step-grandson Giacomo (Page) Pascale and family, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her nephew Dylan Dubé.
Jackie had a love of travel. Her diagnosis didn’t dampen her lust for life and the many beautiful sights to be seen. Memories of the recent journeys shared with her mother and her sister Annette; will be held as the precious treasures they are. Jackie’s family wants to acknowledge, and are very appreciative of, her Florida friends Carol and Peggy. They not only helped her, but they went above and beyond for Jackie during her battle.
Jackie always said, “Christmas should be every day in your heart.”
Jackie’s last words to all of us, “I love you. Love you back, your front, your side.”
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE 827 East Main St., Welland on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 6-8 p.m and Friday, June 16, 2023, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. A funeral mass will be held at Église Sacré-Coeur, 72 Empire Street, Welland on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Doan’s Ridge Cemetery. Donations made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada in Jackie’s honour, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
