Obituary of Jimmy Gagnon
We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Jimmy on Thursday June 15, 2023, at the young age of 44. Cherished son of Marielle Gagnon and the late Denis Gagnon. Dear brother of Patrick Gagnon.
Jimmy was a kind soul who had the biggest heart, he would give anyone the shirt off his back. He also took the time to actually listen to people and respond appropriately. His sense of humour was one of his greatest assets. He also loved everything involving the mixed martial arts world, especially the UFC. Joe Rogan himself would have likely loved bantering back and forth with Jimmy about this topic. Jimmy was a special force to the Recovery Community and Alcoholics Anonymous. He left a Legacy, no not the kind of legacy referred to as leaving something for people.
‘He has left something in people’…with all those he impacted.
Jimmys legacy is in every life he has ever touched.
The family would like to thank the Police for their professionalism during Jimmy’s welfare check and the compassion they demonstrated to his loved ones at the scene.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE 827 East Main St., Welland on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 11:00 a.m-1:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Église Sacré-Coeur, 72 Empire Street, Welland at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Interment to take place at a later date. Donations made to Welland Humane Society in Jimmy’s honour, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
