Obituary of Lyle Lichty
After a long battle with cancer, it is with broken hearts that we announce the death of Lyle Lichty, surrounded by his family on July 21, 2023, at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Jeanine Lichty (née Alexander). Cherished dad of Keith (Rachel) and David (Kim). Lyle will be sadly missed by his 4 grandchildren; Chelsie, Emily, Amy and Andrew. Dear brother of Sandy (Doug), Eric (Jenny), Wava (Roy) and Bob. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Yvonne (née Bass) Lichty.
Lyle was owner and operator of Family Sports in The Seaway Mall, Welland, for 23 years. He loved spending time at the lake boating where he eventually retired.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE. Following Lyle’s wishes, cremation and a celebration in his honour will take place in Windsor, Ontario on September 30th. As expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be greatly appreciated by the family.
