Obituary of Amy Nadeau

February 1, 1965 – November 8, 2023

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Amy Beth Nadeau on November 8, 2023, in Dunnville. Cherished daughter of Elizabeth and the late Roger (July 2023) Nadeau. Loved, and loving, sister of Carrie Farr (late Doug Cawthorn), and Cathy (Morris) Coverdale. Fondly remembered aunt of Suzanne (Shawn) Glaab, Ryan Farr (Cindy Marques), Austin Coverdale (Kayla Cowie), and Morgan Coverdale. She will be missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by her great-niece Gracie Mae Glaab.

Amy lived most of her life in Wainfleet. She attended local schools and treasured the many friendships that developed. Amy enjoyed many travels; Disney World in Florida, casinos in Las Vegas, Kenny Rogers concerts and Elvis Stojko ice shows are among a long list of her favorites, but it was her crafts that brought her the most joy. Amy was a long-time member of a crochet group in Port Colborne. She spent many happy years visiting with Kim and working on crafts to enter at the Wainfleet Fall Fair, this was the highlight of every year. We wish to sincerely thank Kim for that support and for her kindness. We would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to Jen and Trix for the years of friendship, caring, and especially the joy they brought to Amy. The memory book from Trix will remain a treasured keepsake of happier times. Many thanks to Community Living Haldimand for their ongoing support; and to Grandview Lodge for many years of care. Amy is now in the arms of her beloved father and Grandma Klotz, who will keep her safe until we are all together again.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE 827 East Main St., Welland on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 11a.m. until service time at 1p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Flowers gratefully declined.
